Hope you are all having a fun packed evening. I had a crazy day of catch up and LA madness….came up with a couple of song ideas too - they always seem to pop into my head.

Firstly I would like to thank everyone that came out to my show in Nashville last week - we had a blast - the sound at The Rutledge rocks - all to do with the man ‘Frank‘ who makes us sound great! I even came out and played the flute for the first time - I think it shocked a few folks!

I am so excited about my show in NASHVILLE at ‘The RUTLEGE’ on Thursday August 21st. Doors Open at 7PM and I am on stage at 8pm - performing for the 1st time in Nashville my Debut Full Length Album ‘LOST AND FOUND’. It’s an 18yrs & over show & the Cover is a teeny weeny $5 (a pack of fags my dearests!). The show also has performances by Local Rocker D.Ryan and Knoll’s Verges!

This unbelievably talented music city is also where I recorded the whole record between Blackbird Studios & The Castle, Produced by Russian maestro ‘Ilya Toshinsky’, Mixed by Billy Decker at Soundstage & Mastered by Andy Vandette in NY. Incredible musicians played on it & helped create this piece of art who I am so thankful for adding their magic: Ilya Toshinsky on Guitars, Shannon Forest & Chris McHugh on Drums, Jimmy Lee Sloas on Bass, Charlie Judge on Keys, Drew & David Alan Axelrod on Engineering, David Biondilillo, and everbody else - you know who you are:) Thank You.

ENERGY and SYNERGY describe Noush Skaugen’s music as it penetrates the heart and soul into the depths of the human psyche. Her lyrics are insightful, and the life around them encapsulates the dynamic of the instrumentaion. Skaugen speaks directly to her audience through a blend of free-form alternative rock. I find it hard to appreciate many artists because I hear so many faking it, and if she is faking it, she’s believable.

 

John Lenon spoke to us of love and peace in his time, and Noush Skaugen is singing about the repercussions of pain from the result of not having both - something we all can relate to. We live in a time of war, both here in the U.S. and in the majority of the world, and I find it intriguing that a British woman would come to the U.S. with nothing, form a band, writer her own music and get a dream accomplished, while quietly impacting millions of people, a collective harmony of very original thoughts and sounds.

 

Nouhs Skaugen does what all artists strive to achieve, which is to be real or true to their music and who they are and what they have experienced. A level of believability seals the popularity of this artist, and proves that one has to have been there and done that, and I believe she’s as genuine as her fused rhythms, lyrics and melodies. Noush is the next Alanis Morrisette with her rocking soul that is sure to attract a wide demographic of fans around the world. Watching her perform is entrancing as she has the presence and charisma of any legendary rock star.

Hi there folks, Hope you had a wicked weekend!

I am chilling out on a Sunday night with a piece of great news -  I am now a proud Official donator to to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation; A % of Every Copy of my album LOST AND FOUND sold will go to them.

Now, you might say that’s a good thing, but why? Well, I have lost someone who created me and was very special to me. In doing this I hope to raise awareness & help find a cure sooner rather than later, so that people can be saved.
